Injured Maidstone United winger Alex Flisher has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

A scan showed knee ligament damage that requires an operation, meaning he'll be out for six months.

Flisher - United's best player this season - suffered the injury during last weekend's win over Bognor Regis.

Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "I am gutted for Flish as he's been in excellent form for us this season.

"We'll support him every step of the way to make sure he's back playing for the Stones as soon as possible."

United say they have arranged treatment with one of the country's leading knee professors.
