Two goals from Frannie Collin helped Maidstone United win 3-1 at Witham Town on Tuesday night.

Top scorer Collin put the Ryman League Premier Division leaders in front on 41 minutes following good work by Jack Parkinson.

Lee Townrun was gifted an equaliser two minutes later but with United making most of the second-half running, a foul on Parkinson on 70 minutes saw Collin restore the visitors' lead from the penalty spot.

Substitute Jay May added Maidstone's third after 79 minutes with a header from Matt Bodkin's cross.

Parkinson and new signing Bradley Jordan went close to extending United's lead in the last five minutes.

Stones remain two points clear at the top of the table after second-placed Margate beat Met Police 2-1 at home.
