Maidstone United manager Jay Saunders says former Norwich City striker Jamar Loza will play in the Football League again

Jay Saunders expects Jamar Loza to return to the Football League - he just hopes Maidstone keep him for the rest of the season.

Former Norwich youngster Loza has made a big impact since signing a fortnight ago, scoring United's equaliser at Sutton and setting up both goals in the 2-1 win over Macclesfield.

Stones boss Saunders said: "He's got that quality, he's got that touch, that know-how and that bit of ability. We saw it the minute he came in training.

"He's got bundles of quality, I've no doubt he's going to go on and play in the Football League again but hopefully we can keep him here for a while and he can keep producing bits of magic."

Just how long he'll be at Stones remains to be seen.

Saunders added: "He wanted to start playing again and I said, 'look, I think there's opportunities for you to do that'.

"One thing I said to him is that young lads are in the shop window here.

"We get good crowds, loads of scouts and at the end of the day, rather than being sat at home, it would be better for him to be playing.

"I'd like to keep him here for the rest of the season but we just don't know.

"He had a good reputation at Norwich, he's gone to Southend on loan and done well and he was going to sign for Port Vale."
