Brent Osborne has a fight just two days after his first child is due.

The Maidstone boxer is buzzing after an impromptu marriage in Las Vegas but will he be a dad by the time he returns to the ring?

Osborne, 24, and new wife Gemma decided to tie the knot while visiting his father in America over Christmas and New Year.

Their baby girl is due on March 19, with Osborne on the York Hall bill in London on March 21.

He intends to fight, even if Gemma is still waiting to give birth.

Osborne said: “We’ve bought a little house and with getting married and the baby due, my personal life is great, which is showing in my training.

“I want to do well for my little girl. She may or may not be here by the fight but I’ve had a good chat with my wife. I’ve explained I need the fight and she’s backing me 100%.

“If the baby isn’t here, hopefully I can the job done quickly and get home. I won’t hang around.

“It’s our first baby so I’m expecting a 10-hour labour. The fight is only four rounds so even if Gemma went into labour, I shouldn’t miss the birth.”
