Maidstone winger Tom Murphy has joined Eastbourne Borough on loan for a month.

Murphy’s played 20 times for United since arriving from Dover in the summer but has fallen out of favour in recent weeks.

Stones boss Jay Saunders said: “Murphs needs some game time and has a great opportunity to do that with Eastbourne.

“I had a good chat with their manager Tommy Widdrington during the week and this loan comes at the right time for all parties.

“It’s initially for a month but if it suits everyone, there’s an option to extend for a bit longer.”

Murphy is likely to make his debut for National South Boro in their FA Trophy tie at Leiston tomorrow (Saturday).
