Maidstone United make Ben Greenhalgh and Jack Evans available while Callum Driver to go out on loan

Ben Greenhalgh's third spell at Maidstone could be coming to an end as Jay Saunders makes changes.

United are willing to let Greenhalgh and Jack Evans leave the Gallagher, either on loan or on permanent deals.

Callum Driver, meanwhile, is set to be loaned out, provided Seth Twumasi recovers from a knock picked up at Guiseley.

All three were left out of the squad on Saturday as Stones included loan signings Reece Prestedge and Delano Sam-Yorke in the starting XI, with fellow new boy Harry Phipps on the bench.

Forward Greenhalgh joined United for the third time last summer but has fallen out of favour, while ex-Eastbourne midfielder Evans has been in and out of the side.

Saunders said: "Ben and Jack, we’ve circulated their names to see if there’s interest in them.

"We’ll see whether it's loan or transfer, depending on who comes in for them and what their feelings are.

"I’ll have a good chat with them Tuesday night and we’ll go from there.

"I think Ben’s very unfortunate. I thought he started the season very well but he took a knock and Jamar Loza came in and has been playing well.

"Ben’s position is the No.10 and it’s been hard to get him in there to be honest.

"Jack Evans is just one that when the opportunity came up to get Reece Prestedge in, I looked at it.

"James Rogers is probably our best defensive midfielder, I’ve got Jack Paxman who’s playing well at the moment and bringing Reece in and Harry Phipps, I just felt we had too many in that area, so it’s an opportunity maybe for him to go out and get games."

Right-back Driver has missed most of the season with a broken foot and with Twumasi back on the scene, he has the chance to get match-fit elsewhere.

Saunders said: "Callum, depending on Seth, because he took a whack second half, we’ll probably look to get him out on loan.

"I feel with Callum he’s kind of been thrown back into it a little bit after having all those months off.

"He had a good first game at Boreham Wood - that was probably adrenaline - and I think the games after that maybe caught up on him a little bit."
