But when the wheelchair-bound driver of the Mazda said he was disabled and needed an ambulance, the driver got back in his car and drove off.

The disabled man had suffered a minor neck injury and was taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury as a precaution.

PC Nick Lingham said: "We are keen to track down the other driver involved in this collision.

"Although it was very late at night, we are hopeful somebody may have seen something that could help us."

If you can help, call PC Lingham on 07772 113051 quoting reference 11-0055, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
