A car fire caused delays on the M20 this morning.
One lane was closed between junction five for Aylesford and junction 4 for the A228 Snodland.
There was also congestion on the M20 to junction 6 for Blue Bell Hill.
A spokesman for the force said:"Kent Police was called at 7.26am on Wednesday 23 August to a report of a vehicle fire near Junction 5 of the M20.
"Officers are currently at the scene alongside the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
"A lane closure is in place. No injuries have been reported."
Delays were reported to stretch as far back as junction 7 for Maidstone and Sheerness, and there were also delays on the A20 as drivers sought alternative routes.
