Larkfield Fire Station celebrates 50th birthday

Hundreds of people turned out to help the Kent Fire and Rescue Service celebrate the 50th anniversary of Larkfield Fire Station yesterday.

The crowds were boosted by the glorious summer weather and the numerous attractions on show which included fire, rescue and road safety demonstrations; modern and vintage engines; a bouncy castle and coconut shy.

Watch manager Mitchell Kelly said: “The day was great fun with plenty of activities for families to enjoy.”
