Drivers faced delays this morning due to a broken down vehicle on the M20.

The vehicle stopped on the eastbound carriageway close to junction 5 for Aylesford earlier this morning.

Highways England warned drivers of delays in the area.

Delays were also reported in Maidstone town centre, including on the A229 Sheals Crescent, although the Highways Agency says these have now cleared.

Traffic on the M20 is beginning to ease.
