Traffic was temporarily held on a busy motorway following concerns for a person's welfare.

Police were called to junction 5 of the M20 London-bound at Aylesford shortly after 4.30pm.

Officers attended and the person was handed into the care of health professionals.

Delays had been reported from junction 6, near Maidstone but traffic is now said to be easing in the area.
