Field fire in Birling Road, Birling

Fire crews raced to a field fire in Birling last night.

Two engines spent an hour extinguishing the Birling Road blaze which covered a 100 metre square section of grass.

Officers arrived at the scene at 5.47pm and left just after 7pm having spent 25 minutes dampening down.
