Man charged with Aylesford burglary

A man is set to appear in court accused of carrying out a ram-raid on a retail park business.

Sean Chandler, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

The 24-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court by video link on Friday, July 13 where he was remanded until August 10.

A 19-year-old man and two teenage boys were bailed to return to the police station on August 3, while another teenage boy was bailed to return today.

Chandler will stand accused of being involved in a burglary which took on Wednesday, July 11 in which a van smashed into the shutters of a store in Wood Close in Quarry Wood, Aylesford.

A number of tools were thought to have been stolen before the van then sped off.

Soon after, police stopped a suspicious vehicle near junction three of the M20 and arrests were made.
