Residents who are fed up of travellers setting up camp in their village have taken a stand.

Villagers in Leybourne have set up a blockade to stop caravans parking on land off Castle Way.

The roadblock was set up yesterday afternoon, following fears that travellers would return to the area after being moved on from the nearby K Sports ground in Aylesford, where they've been since Saturday.

They have already parked up in Leybourne multiple times this year, with the same stretch of land becoming a popular spot.

But residents have had enough.

The blockade is made up of a lorry from removals company, Matthew James Removals.
