Hadlow: Family pays tribute to Tom Smith who died crashing into tree on A26

Tributes have been paid to a 25-year-old man who was killed after crashing his car into a tree off the A26 near Hadlow.

Tom Smith was driving a blue Vauxhall Vectra along Tonbridge Road on Thursday, October 25, when his car left the road at around 7.55pm.

He died at the scene.

Two women, also in their 20s and who were passengers in the car, also sustained injuries.

His family said in a statement: "Tom enjoyed watching football, fishing and being with his friends.

"He will always be missed and loved by all his family and friends."

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to appeal for information from anyone who may have information, including dash cam footage, or who may have seen the vehicle travelling on the A26.

They are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured Suzuki who may have seen the vehicle just before the collision.
