Teen hurt in rush-hour crash in Strood

A teenager was taken to hospital after a rush-hour crash between a car and a motorcycle on a busy road.

Emergency services were called to Station Road, Strood, opposite the railway station entrance, at 5.45pm yesterday.

Several people stopped to help before police and two ambulance crews arrived on the scene, at the junction with Grove Road.

The rider of the motorcycle, thought to be a young man aged 17, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering from neck and arm pain

Motorists reported some delays in the area as the road was blocked for a short time.
