Police called after vehicle crashes into car park entrance in Ash Tree Lane, Chatham

A car park was cordoned off by police after a vehicle crashed into the entrance.

Access to the site at the bottom of Ash Tree Lane in Chatham was temporarily obstructed yesterday.

Officers were called to help following reports of a car crashing into the entrance shortly before 2pm.

The vehicle caused an obstruction and a recovery crew was called to assist.

No injuries were reported and the crashed car was moved about an hour later.

A spokesman for Kent Police, James Walker said: "Kent Police was called at 1.48pm on Wednesday 11 August 2021 to a single vehicle collision in Ash Tree Lane, Chatham.

"No injuries were reported to officers however, the vehicle involved did cause an obstruction in the road. It had been cleared from the live lane by around 2.55pm."
