Delays after caravan overturns on the M2 near A229 Blue Bell Hill turn-off in Chatham

A caravan being towed on the M2 has overturned near the Chatham turn-off at Junction 3.

Traffic has been queuing on the London-bound carriageway near the turn-off for the A229 Chatham and Rochester.

It is understood the incident happened underneath the roundabout near Blue Bell Hill and police have put diversions in place while they deal with crash scene.

It is not thought anyone was seriously injured as a result of the incident.

A spokesman for police, said:" Kent Police was called at 12.35pm to a report that a Land Rover towing a caravan had overturned between junction two and three on the London bound carriageway of the M2.

"No serious injuries have been reported at this time. Officers are currently in attendance."

All lanes have now reopened.
