Heroin dealer, Tunmi Osifeso, of Albany Road, Chatham, found with £2k of the drug

A drug dealer who was found with £2,000 of heroin at a railway station has been locked up for more than two years.

Tunmi Osifeso, 23, was found with the haul at Chatham Railway Station, in July.

Osifeso, of Albany Road in Chatham, attempted to flee when he spotted the officers but was detained outside the main entrance and searched.

A bag containing the heroin was pulled from his trouser pocket.

Osifeso admitted being in possession with a Class A drug with intent to supply when he appeared before Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, January 23.

Osifeso, was jailed for 27 months.

PC Sam Negus, who investigated the case, said: “Osifeso was caught with a large quantity of Class A drugs intended for distribution across Medway.

“His actions and his willingness to pump poison into the wider community in the name of an illicit profit ensured he will serve time in prison.

“The efforts of Kent Police don’t end once a drug dealer is jailed with officers continuing to investigate, identify and pursue their accomplices.”
