A man has been charged with drink driving after a car crashed into a lamppost in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to Gravesend Road in Strood at 4.19am yesterday, where they found a blue hatchback had veered onto a grass verge and knocked the street light over.
Some parked cars are also said to have suffered damage.
Benjamin Colin Spellar, of Freeman Road, Gravesend, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with drink driving.
The 32-year-old was released on bail and will appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 17.
