Woman freed from vehicle after crash in Bredgar Road, Gillingham

A woman has been placed in the care of paramedics after crashing her car in Gillingham earlier today.

Firefighters, paramedics and police were called out to Bredgar Road, at about 12.30pm to reports a car had crashed.

No other vehicles were involved in the smash and firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to get the roof of the vehicle and get the woman out.

She was placed on a long-board and placed in the care of ambulance crews.

A spokesman for police said: “Kent Police was called to a reported single vehicle collision in Bredgar Road, Gillingham, at 12.29pm.

“A woman has reported having back pain and is receiving treatment at the scene.

“The South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service have also been called.”
