Rainham A2 partly closed at the High Street after incident involving a lorry and a van

A collision between a van and a lorry partly closed Rainham High Street.

The A2 was cordoned off at the Orchard Street junction, near to Costa Coffee, and was causing long delays this morning.

The stretch of road on the A2 between Holding Street and Station road was blocked by the vehicles

Police were called at 10.10am.

Ambulance crews called and the drivers of the vehicles did not suffer any serious injuries.

They were checked over at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
