The holiday destination, formally known as Haven Allhallows Leisure Park, has been renamed Haven Kent Coast.

Joe, who married fellow presenter Stacey Solomon last year at their home in Essex, was joined by tourism minister John Whittingdale MP and MP for Rochester and Strood Kelly Tolhurst to unveil the revamped park.

He said: “It was a real honour to come and reveal the new name of Haven Kent Coast. Having grown up holidaying in the UK, it is so great to see Haven investing in the staycation experience for thousands of holidaymakers.

“I have cherished memories from when I was younger being on holiday with Mum and Dad, and the money Haven has put into these parks means that other UK holidaymakers will be able to create their own magical memories and have the most incredible time with their family.

“I tried out some of the new activities on the Adventure Village and would definitely recommend The Jump - a six-metre fall onto a massive airbag – that will get your heart going.”

The revamp has seen a 1,200-seater Marina Bar and Stage, a 100-seater terrace and a Yacht Club created at the site.

Olympic gold medallist Kate French MBE, from Meopham, launched the first of the new leisure activities on offer at Haven's centre in Allhallows last year.

The project has also created more than 100 seasonal and permanent team roles.

It is part of a £170 million investment by the UK holiday operator across its 41 parks driven by a demand for staycations.
