Medway man Derek Jarrett, 59, in court accused of burglaries in Rochester

A Medway man is due in court charged in connection with three burglaries which happened in Rochester.

Derek Jarrett, 59, of no fixed address, was arrested in the High Street on Monday, February 20, after a break-in at a home in nearby Delce Road earlier that day.

Nothing was taken from the property.

He is also accused of burgling a home in Howard Avenue on Saturday, January 28 and a property in Priestfields, also in the town, on Friday, February 17.

A quantity of jewellery, electrical items and other personal belongings were stolen from the house in Howard Avenue, and a set of car keys from the one in Priestfields.

Jarrett is due to appear before Medway magistrates today.
