Man airlifted to hospital after industrial accident at Chatham Docks

A man has been airlifted to hospital following reports of an industrial accident at Chatham Docks.

It is understood he suffered a suspected fractured leg when a heavy load fell on him.

The accident happened at around 12pm.

A SECAmb spokesman said: "We were called to reports a man had been injured by a heavy load on his leg.

"We sent one ambulance and one car to the scene. We were joined by the air ambulance.

"The man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital."

Police are understood to have not been called to the scene.
