Police say a woman reported seeing a man watching them through the window of a house, as they walked past at around 3.30pm on Tuesday June 13.
He is then alleged to have followed the victims to a nearby park where he made threats, and was reported to have been in possession of a knife.
Following enquiries, Anthony Browne, 24, of High Street, Gillingham, was charged with making threats to kill and possession of a bladed object in a public place.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday June 19, and entered no plea.
The case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court, and he is next due to appear on July 18.
Browne was granted conditional bail.
