Paul Stone, of Hyacinth Road, Strood, due in court charge with burglary and theft

A man has been charged with burglary following an incident in Rochester earlier this month.

Officers were called out to reports of a burglary in Borstal Road, Rochester, during the early hours of Tuesday .

Kent Police was called at 3.30am on Tuesday 24 October 2017 to a report of a burglary in Borstal Road, Rochester.

The caller reported seeing a man breaking into a house and stealing a purse at about 3.30am, he attempted to follow the man but the suspect ran away.

Officers attended and patrolled the nearby area where a man matching the description of the suspect was arrested on Rochester Bridge.

Paul Stone, 41 of Hyacinth Road, Strood, has since been charged with burglary and theft and is due to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court today.
