Part of Rochester High Street cordoned off by police

A man has been arrested after another man was found injured in a busy high street.

Part of Rochester High Street was cordoned off last night while police investigated reports a man had been found injured.

He was spotted with what witnesses said was a possible head injury at around 6.42pm.

Officers confirmed the man had been treated by crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and is not thought to have been seriously hurt.

A 41-year-old man from Chatham was arrested on suspicion of assault and was released pending further inquiries.
