Man rescued after car crash in Gillingham

A man had to be cut free by firefighters after a two-car crash in Gillingham.

He was checked over by paramedics following the accident, on the junction of Hamilton Road and Garfield Road.

It happened at around 5.30pm and crews were at the scene for 40 minutes.

A fire service spokesman said: "The man was released and passed in to the care of SECAmb."

Police also attended.
