Delays warning from KCC Highways after accident on A228 Rochester Road, Halling

Traffic is queuing following a two-car accident on a key road.

It happened on the A228 Rochester Road at Halling at 7.25am today.

Kent County Council’s highways department and police have warned of delays.

KCC said that there was queuing traffic on both approaches from the M2 southbound and from St Peter’s Bridge northbound.

The ambulance and fire service were also called and a man was taken to hospital.

A Kent Police spokesman said this morning : “The road is currently blocked and the vehicles are awaiting recovery.

There is currently increased traffic in the area, and on the M2, and motorists are advised to expect delays and, where possible, consider using another route.”
