Road repair works are being carried out in Meresborough Road, Rainham today, Monday, July 20, and tomorrow.

The roadworks require the road to be closed and alternative routes have been put in place.

Medway Council said the work is being done in two phases to reduce disruption to residents and other road users:

Monday: Meresborough Road will be closed from Meresborough Village / Meresborough Lane to the junction with Mierscourt Road.

Tuesday: Meresborough Road will be closed from the High Street/Moor Street to Meresborough Village/Meresborough Lane.

The diversion routes will be via Mierscourt Road and High Street, Rainham. Every effort will be made to allow access for local residents.
