Teen robbed of mobile in Mountbatten Avenue, Chatham

A teenager was robbed of his mobile phone by a gang of men.

The incident is said to have happened at around 8.45pm yesterday on Mountbatten Avenue with its junction with Malta Avenue in Chatham.

The victim is alleged to have been threatened with a bladed weapon by one of the three men, who stole their phone before running towards Wayfield Road.

All three suspects are black. The first was approximately 20, 5ft10in and stocky. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, a black balaclava with a gold pattern and black gloves.

The second is in his 20s, 6ft1in, thin, with dark hair with blond highlights in dreadlocks. He was wearing a dark hooded top and loose black jogging bottoms.

The third man is 5ft8in tall, slim build and also wearing black.

Police have issued an appeal and would like to hear from any potential witnesses or anyone that could have information.
