Medway Area Sunday League round-up (12/11/23)

Chatham Town SR remain three points behind Premier Division leaders Quested with a game in hand.

Both recorded victories on Sunday with Emmanuel Abe (2), Caleb Dyce, Caleb Luckhurst, Tommy Davey, Culdip Mann and David Abe all on target in Chatham Town SR’s 7-0 victory over Rainham Kenilworth Athletic.

Cliffe Woods Colts were shaded 3-2 by Quested despite goals from Bobby Noye and Jason Harrison. The leaders remain in pole position thanks to goals from Frazer Rogers, Sam Stace and Brad Schafer.

Wigmore moved off the bottom of the table - and are replaced by the team they defeated - after posting a 6-2 win over Star Meadow.

Alfie Ashford (2), Richard Gregory, Isaac Owen, Fred Carroll and Luke Brigden handed Wigmore their first points of the season with goals by Gabriel Lukehurst and George Cowdery not enough for Star Meadow.

Division 1 leaders Springhead Park won 3-2 against Medway Sport XI, who scored through Brandon Berry and Tom Lichfield.

Timi Musuro bagged the Rochester goal in their 2-1 defeat to AFC Shorne, who scored through Aman Gill and David Gray.

Sam Heard’s brace and Sam Crayford added up to a 3-2 win for FC Catalans at Swallow Rise 93. Ainsley Linton and Jamie Cooper were on target for the home side.

Eagles moved to within a point of Division 2 leaders Riverside Academy after posting a 6-1 victory over Bredhurst.

Ediz Ali and Dylan Walker both scored twice with the other goals coming from George Beadle and Kyle Thompson for Eagles.

Riverside Academy remain unbeaten after a goalless draw with Hempstead United.

Bobby Stuart and Mike Edwards were on target in ASK Medway’s 2-1 victory over Swallow Rise 93 Reserves.

Jack Norris and Charlie Sweatman scored the Cliffe Woods Colts A goals that shaded Pentagon 2-1, Jack Thompson replied for Pentagon.

Division 3 Athletic Bilbowls had Conor Simpson and Robbie Farnham-Rose to thank for their 2-0 win against Bredhurst Juniors United.

Elliott Dorey's lone strike for Medway United was not enough as they lost 4-1 to Medway Rovers 20, whose goals came from Ryan Davies, Tiago Oliveira (2) and Tom Fuller.

In Division 4, Sam Jones and Jake Spring netted in Milton & Fulston Zebras’ 3-2 loss to Your Move Chatham, who scored through Aaron Cook, Wayne Hughes and Vladimir Gubala.

Chris O’Bray, Matthew Nelson, Connor Greer and Tj Morris were on target for Tunbury Athletic in a 4-1 triumph over Rochester Eagles, for whom Michael Adjel replied.

Pat Hemingway, Ronnie Wratten Ish Kpal and Kye O’Brien led Anchorians Rovers to a 4-0 win over River in Division 5.

James Hurcomb (3), Liam Baker (2), Dan Rayment, George Birch and Paul Stock all netted in Westfield Sole’s 8-1 victory over Walderslade WMC, Lee Carball with their consolation.

In the Junior League Trophy, The Stumble lost 7-0 to AEI Sports Sundays with Mason Odds (2), Danny Seaman, Lewis Odds, Sean Elkington, Moses Alausa and Nura Seid all on target.
