Medway Area Sunday League round-up (26/11/23)

Chatham Town SR went top of the Premier Division on goal difference after a 5-0 win over Rainham Kenilworth Athletic.

Their goals came from Caleb Dyce (2), Tommy Davey (2) and Lee Duvan.

Ewan Greenway and Jamie Dray goals were not enough for Cuxton 91 as they went down 4-2 to Cliffe Woods Colts. Dean Hughes, Ashley Poppy, Robbie Summerhayes and Joe Reynolds netted for the victors, who are in third spot.

Rainham Kenilworth 2 took over top spot in Division 1 after Nathan Young, Ben Hussey and Hayden Clare goals in a 3-0 win over FC Catalans.

Springhead Park are second after they were shaded 3-2 by Rochester. Jack Barton and Alfie Sherwood scored for Park but Timi Musuro (2) and Adam Bun won it for the victors.

Liam Ogle, Matthew Cowlam, James Hutchings and Liked Fuller were on target in Borden Park Wanderers’ 4-3 win over Anchorians Athletic which saw them climb off the foot of the table.

Swanscombe Tigers lost 4-3 to Medway Sport XI. Mario Izu, Scott Goodrich and Charlie Tomkins scored for Tigers but Brandon Berry, Jack Hardy (2) and Connor Rayfield sealed the points.

Leaders Riverside Academy remain the only unbeaten team in Division 2. They won 2-1 over Omega 92 thanks to Zachary Johnson and Joshua Obafemi, Daniel Lee scored in reply.

Cliffe Woods Colts A and Real 60 shared the points in a 2-2 draw, Charlton Summerfield and Adam Bergin for Colts with Ted Haysman and Jon Hickman replying for Real 60.

Division 3 leaders London Road won 6-1 over Medway Rovers 20. Ben Saffery (3), Tom Hill (2) and Ryan York were on target with Tiago Olieira scoring a consolation in reply.

Bradley Harris, Tom Baker and Charlie Coppard netted in Bredhurst Juniors United’s 3-2 win against New Brompton 1893.

Harry Whitehead scored the Cantium goal in their 3-1 defeat to Eagles Gold, whose goals came from Jamie Wise, Callum Smith and Josh Gray.

Oluseyi Oyesola scored the Medway United consolation in their 8-1 defeat to second-placed Athletic Bilbowls. Kyle Shaw, Jack Clover, Connor Simpson, Reif Youdale (2), Louie King (2) and Marcus Sutton were all on the scoresheet.

Sam Lovey (2), Joe Balderston, Eliott Huitson, George Baker (3) and Ryan Hales were all on target in The Walnut Tree’s 8-0 victory over Cliffe Woods Rangers.

New Division 4 leaders AEI Sports made it six wins out of six after defeating Rochester Eagles 4-1 thanks to Tom Brown, Mo Kamara, Lewis Odds and Sean Elkington.

A hat-trick from Nathan Swan and a Nathan Gambrill goal led Kent Marina 19 to a 4-1 win against The Stumble, for whom Chris Jackson replied.

Saul Rivers, Ed King, Aaron Cook and an own goal helped Your Move Chatham to a 4-2 victory over Cross Park, who scored through Jake Sanger and Mike Dunworth.

In Division 5, a Danny Birch double and Pat Hemmingway ensured the points for Anchorians Rovers against New Road Athletic.

River lost 7-0 to Caspian Tigers, whose goals came from Louie Goss, Louis Macksey, Reece Germano (3), Jamie Passfield and Billy Grifin.

Kyle Beale and Max Hastings netted in Walderslade WMC’s 2-2 draw with Rochester Eagles Reserves.

Wigmore Wanderers lost 4-2 to Westfield Sole. James Lundie and Ben Hetterley scored for Wanderers but Ryan Mai, James Hurcomb and Reece O’Connor helped Sole to the points.
