The window remains open until November 25.

But with the Gills sitting top of League 1 and unbeaten, Edinburgh has few concerns with his squad.

He said: “We are always on the lookout to try and improve but we are more than happy with what we have here right now.

“We’ve got injuries clearing up and as long as we continue to stay clear of injuries then I am more than happy with the squad we have.

“With the window being reopened it does give us an option if needed and that we can explore.”

Edinburgh admitted his side “got away with it” last weekend after a handful of injuries in the build-up to their game against Doncaster Rovers left the Gills short of defenders.

Midfielder Doug Loft filled in as central defender alongside Max Ehmer. The Gills won 1-0.

Adedeji Oshilaja, John Egan and Brennan Dickenson were all unavailable through injury while Callum Davies remained tied to a loan deal at Bromley, even though he is back with the club.

Cardiff loanee Oshilaja is likely to remain out for this weekend’s visit of Blackpool but Egan and Dickenson are making progress. Edinburgh is confidence both could return.

Davies will be unavailable again this Saturday and is expected to be loaned out again sometime next week.
