Hollands & Blair boss Paul Piggott wants to end the season with a trophy

Paul Piggott has won a trophy every season as Hollands & Blair manager – and he gets the chance on Bank Holiday Monday to keep that run going.

The Southern Counties East runners-up meet Erith & Belvedere at Park View Road in the final of the Macron Challenge Trophy.

Boss Piggott has overseen a memorable season, pushing Greenwich all the way in the race for the league title.

Finishing the season with a piece of silverware will cap it off nicely for Piggott and his men.

He said: “As good as the season was, we didn’t win anything and we are looking to put that right.

“Since I have been at the club we have been quite successful, either winning a league or a trophy. What we have achieved this season caps it all but we haven’t won anything.

“We have ticked most of the boxes that we wanted to this season and got one more to go.”

Blair beat Erith & Belvedere 6-0 last time they met but were on the end of a 3-1 defeat earlier in the season, leaving Piggott a little unsure of what to expect this time around.

He said: “They were a decent side early on, they played us off the park. But they had a reshuffle, changed their manager and when we played them we probably caught them at a bad time.

“It’s a final of a competition and, like us, they will want to win and I am not sure what sort of side they will have. We are going into the unknown a bit.”

Kick-off on Monday is at 3pm.
