Celebration time for air ambulance lottery winners

TWELVE people have become the first to win prizes in the Kent Air Ambulance Trust's new lottery draw.

The winners for the first week of the lottery were drawn by the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Morel D'Souza, at the Pipers showroom in Upper Stone Street, Maidstone.

The lottery is intended to give the Marden-based charity a steady income for the future.

The first prize winner, who will receive £500, was Celia Marshall, from Hemel Hempstead, while the second prize winner, who wins £250, was Marian Webb from Maidstone.

Ten others received £25 each. They were: Valeria Walsh of Birchington, Christine Ogilvie of Whitstable, Hilda Mummery from Canterbury, Dr Leslie Smith from Maidstone, Shirley Black, from Whitstable, Shirley Wallis from Snodland, Ivy Squirrell of Rochester, Jillian Bateup from Tunbridge Wells, Anastasia Cole from Dover and Constance Maidment of West Malling.
