And it’s not too late for more riders to take up the popular challenge as participants are welcome to turn up and pay on the day.

Cyclists will tackle one of two circular routes; a 100K or 50K version, both starting from Betteshanger Country Park, near Deal.

Riders can raise sponsorship money for any good cause of their choice and the biggest individual fundraiser will win a pair of Eurostar tickets. Forty nine charities are set to benefit from the adrenaline event.

This year, organisers have announced electric bikes are eligible for participants selecting the 50K route.

Electronic chip timing will capture the results of the ride and a sportive photograph taken of each cyclist in action.

The KM Big Bike Ride is supported by key partners Vattenfall and Locks of Sandwich Cycles plus Benenden Hospital Trust and Bike Tart.

Participants will receive a £5 discount if using the code KMPRBB17 when booking online. Cyclists aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
