Had enough of that didgeridoo?

THE Oxfam Bookshop in Gabriels Hill, Maidstone, is hoping to hit the right notes this month by asking for musical donations from the public.

Manager Janet Dobson said: "As long as items are in good condition we will welcome all musical donations, from a didgeridoo through to music videos, and from LPs to CDs."

The bookshop is one of many branches across the UK taking part in a Music Month to raise funds to help Oxfam's fight against poverty and suffering. The items will be sold in March.

Ms Dobson added: "Our top sellers are jazz and rock vinyl, but instruments, sheet music and memorabilia, like posters, are popular too."

She said that donations of all kinds were welcome but stressed that if anyone had something they could not deliver to the shop they could telephone 01622 753585 and Oxfam would arrange to have it collected.

It is possible to park outside the shop for deliveries until 10.30am, Monday to Saturday, but the shop does not open until 9.30am.
