The price to take part has been slashed to just £10 per person for bookings made until May 10. After that date the regular price of £20 per adult will apply.

Participants will be showered with vivid coloured powders as they make their way around the 5km course.

Entrants can run, jog or walk at their own pace making it suitable for most ages and abilities. Children are also welcome.

Booking includes limited edition KM Colour Run t-shirt, sunglasses and a small bag of coloured powder to throw during the event.

All runners will receive a medal at the finish line.

Dee Murphy, fundraising and events officer at Martha Trust, said: “We have successfully partnered with the KM Charity Team on various challenge events and look forward to seeing how this exciting new event develops.

“We hope that lots of people will sign up.”

Event organiser Dominic Comins of the KM Charity Team said: “The KM Colour Run is a fun event to get you moving. It’s not a timed race so the emphasis is on having a good time this summer with friends and family.

“Added to this you can raise funds for any charity you like so why not start getting sponsor pledges in?”

The KM Colour Run will be staged at BayPoint Club, Sandwich on Sunday, June 7.
