Police calendar to reveal bare facts

OFFICERS from Dover police station have decided to produce a “cheeky” calendar to raise money for charity.

They won’t be completely following in the footsteps of the famous Women’s Institute members who bared all, and subsequently had a film made about them. But they say it will be quite revealing!

However, the volunteers - seven men and five women - are seeking sponsorship for the project.

Sue Bartley, who works as a public enquiry officer at Dover Police Station, said: “We are hoping to sell the 2005 calendars to raise money for Cancer Research and we are looking for a local sponsor. We need about £2,000 for an upfront payment for the printing and publishing costs.

“Anyone who sponsors the calendar will be able to have their logo printed on it, and we are hoping the idea will raise a lot of interest.”

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Sue Bartley, Janet Pott or Anne Parker on Dover (01304) 218183.
