Quiz night to help save lives

A KENT company is holding a quiz night at Valley Park Community School, Huntsman Lane, Maidstone, on Friday (March 26) to raise much needed funds for charity.

Three R’s Teacher Recruitment Ltd, based in Chatham and Ashford, are supporting the Meningitis Trust and helping to raise funds for vital research and support services. The quiz will start at 7.30pm and they are looking for teams of between four and six people to get involved.

Sarah Wise, from Three R’s, said: “We will be including a few questions on meningitis to help raise people's awareness, and we currently have quite a few of the team spaces filled, but want to achieve a full house so that we can donate as much as possible to the Trust.

“We support the Meningitis Trust as they provide a local lifeline to anyone who has had an experience of the disease. As a company involved with children and education we felt that by supporting this charity we could raise awareness as well as funds.”

Nicky Smyth, The Meningitis Trust’s Regional Development Officer for the South East said: “Meningitis is an infectious disease that kills more under fives than any other disease but anyone of any age can get meningitis, so it is always important to be aware and know the signs and symptoms.

"Holding a quiz night is a great way to have fun while raising money and awareness and I would like to thank Three R’s for their continued support of our fight to beat this disease.”

The entry fee is £6 per person. Anyone interested in taking part is asked to call Sarah Wise on 0845 130 3338 for full details.
