Schools in Kent helping to make the county cleaner and greener or those taking part in the popular reading scheme Busters Book Club have the chance to win a storytelling visit from the CBeebies star. District winners will also be rewarded with free tickets to the family attraction Silver Blades ice rink.

Its not too late for schools to sign up to the popular reading initiative and be in with the chance to claim this exclusive prize. The last few spaces on the scheme are available at www.bustersbookclub.co.uk.

The primary school or special school class that is top or most improved with their reading or top or most improved for green travel will win a visit to their school from the popular celebrity. Not only will he visit the school, but he will also read a story book to the school selected by the winning class.

Simon Dolby from Buster’s Book Club, said: "This is very exciting for our charity to have Phil - Mister Maker - supporting our major literacy initiatives in 2017. This year is KM's Year of Reading and so we want a bumper number of schools benefiting from our reading scheme. Our charity is so grateful to Phil for all his support."

To be in with a chance of winning this special challenge, participating children must walk to school or read with a parent on Wednesday 22 February.

Currently 60,000 children across the county are using Walk to School Super WOW or home reading initiative Buster’s Book Club.

The initiatives are supported by Kent County Council, Medway Council, Kent Libraries, 3Rs teacher recruitment, Kent Reliance, Specsavers, Bel UK, Orbit housing association, Golding Homes, Eurostar, Volker Highways, Countrystyle Recycling, Gallaghers Aggregates and Whitefriars.
