Recruits needed for Territorial Army's medical team

KENT'S Territorial Army medical unit is under-recruited and is urgently seeking men and women who are up for a challenging spare time opportunity - with pay.

The unit is B Medical Squadron (Volunteers), based at Ditton, near Maidstone, and it is seeking recruits throughout the country.

"We need healthcare professionals including doctors, dentists and nurses but we also require people to serve as medics, drivers, clerks, mechanics and chefs," said Major Olivia Morris, who commands the unit and is a general practitioner in civilian life.

"We will train them from absolute scratch if necessary and many of the skills our TA soldiers learn are directly transferable to the civilian workplace, so both they and their employers benefit".

For further information, contact B Medical Squadron on 01622 767182, call at the London Road, Ditton TA Centre on a Tuesday evening from 7.30-9.30pm, or e-mail 4gsmedregt-bsqnpsao@tanet.mod.uk
