Four people have been injured after a crash involving a bus and a minivan.

The collision occurred on the B2071 Littlestone Road, at the crossroads with St Andrew’s Road and Nether Avenue in New Romney at around 11.40am.

The B2071 is currently closed as a result.

A passenger in the van and three people travelling on the bus.

Kent Police said: “Officers attended the scene of the incident, which involved a bus and a minivan.

“A passenger in the van reported injuries along with three people who were travelling on the bus. Officers closed the road to assist with vehicle recovery.”

A Stagecoach spokesman added: “A route 102 bus was involved in a RTC on Littlestone Road shortly after 1130 this morning.

"We understand there were no serious injuries reported and we've been assisting the police investigation at the scene."

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
