Film crews spotted at Dungeness with vintage cars and fake police vans for Lynx TV advert

A film crew has been spotted in Kent, with actors seen in a vintage 70s car.

The Britannia Inn and The End of the Line Restaurant, were reportedly hired out for the team who were in Dungeness on Tuesday filming a Lynx television advert.

Resident Carl Fletcher went to The End of the Line Restaurant in the morning, and was told it was shut for a private function.

He said: “We asked whether it was for the film crew and they said yes. There were two posts outside, one said crowd and the other said crew,” he said.

“We were driving out of the estate and they stopped us so that the vintage car could go by.”

Just after midday, Mr Fletcher returned home to take his dog for a walk. He then went onto the Britannia Inn, but that too was closed, with a film crew nearby.

He said: “We saw them with a camera-mounted car – which was filming the two occupants driving a vintage 70’s car toward the train station.

“They had a crew escort front and back. A young man was driving the vintage car with a female in the passenger seat.

“They also had a police van - which they had put tape across the lettering at the end of the day so we figured it was part of the set and not a real police van.

“It was here overnight but gone this morning.”
