The driver of a car involved in a crash on the Marsh yesterday has died.
The 62-year-old local woman’s car had been in collision with another the A259 near Brenzett just after 10am yesterday.
She was airlifted to a London hospital in a critical condition but died that evening.
The woman had been in a green Fiat Seicento when it was in collision with a blue Peugeot 207 near the junction with Tickner’s Lane.
Both cars had been travelling in the same direction, from Brenzett towards Lydd.
The 21-year-old driver of the Peugeot received minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit wants to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the cars beforehand.
They should call the Witness Appeal Line on 01622 798538 or email email@example.com, quoting incident reference 08-404.
