Two people have been take to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorcycle at a junction this morning.

The A259 on Lydd Road, near New Romney, closed in both directions for more than an hour after the collision.

Police and the ambulance service attended the scene at around 11.30am.

Officers helped to direct traffic and the road has now been cleared.

The victims were assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
