Police seized drugs and a knife from a car parked near a high street.

Officers approached the vehicle in Sevenoaks town centre at about 11pm on Friday (December 1) after spotting it parked in a lay-by.

It was driven away before stopping in Buckhurst Lane.

Officers following the car then searched it and discovered a knife, around £700 in cash and a quantity of cannabis, while 27 wraps of cocaine were also later recovered.

Dionis Hatia, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing drugs with intent to supply.

The 22-year-old was also charged with possessing a knife in a public place and possessing criminal property.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court later today.
