Gemsal Djemal, of London Road, in Riverhead, Sevenoaks, will have his prison sentence increased unless he forfeits almost £7,000

A drug dealer faces another four months in prison unless he sells his car to repay almost £7,000.

Gemsal Djemal, from Riverhead in Sevenoaks, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court last Thursday and was ordered to forfeit £6,695.

The action comes after Kent Police successfully applied under the Proceeds of Crime Act for his assets to be seized following his conviction in May.

Djemal was jailed after he pleaded guilty to possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

In 2013, officers executed a warrant at the offender’s home in London Road and found a 17g stash of cocaine and £4,405 in cash hidden under a mattress.

Detectives had become aware Djemal had been selling wraps of cocaine in North Kent.

In a statement released this week, Kent Police said Djemal will need to sell his Mitsubishi L200 and empty his bank account to raise the forfeit charge.

If he fails to comply with the February deadline, the offender’s sentence will be extended to three years and eight months.
